The 2020-2021 fiscal year was unprecedented against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our services, our staff and our patients continually adapted as needed as our knowledge increased about the coronavirus. Despite these challenges, thanks to the dedication of our clinicians across the province, those who were in greatest need of accessing our services were still able to do so. Health care heroes for sure!

The challenges of COVID-19 focused the 2020-2021 activities of the Network on increasing support to treatment centre staff, as well as implementing further outreach initiatives to promote public awareness of SA/DVTC services. At provincial treatment centres, clinicians pivoted to ensure services remained accessible by offering virtual care where possible and creating a safe environment for victims/survivors who attended in person. This annual report highlights many of the Network’s activities for 2020-2021, including the impact of the pandemic and our response to ensure timely and comprehensive client care, ongoing staff education and support for clinicians.
