This course prepares clinicians and service practitioners better address sexual assault in healthcare settings. It provides foundational guidance on how to recognize and respond to signs of and reactions to sexual assault. Learners will develop practical skills that can help them identify signs of abuse, and establish trust with clients in vulnerable situations. They will also learn how to apply a trauma-informed framework, and strengthen competencies than enable them to provide supportive and effective care to patients or clients.

• How to create an environment that supports disclosure of past sexual assault 
• How to respond appropriately to someone who has been sexually assaulted in the past
