For over 15 years, the Ontario Network of SADVTCs has engaged in an innovative research process that has successfully shaped health policy and practice. Health care providers from the Network have generated research questions arising from clinical practice and the health needs, concerns, and priorities of their patients. These questions were jointly investigated with scientists at Women’s College Research Institute and findings from these studies have been translated for relevant policy makers and practitioners, resulting in improved and expanded care for victim/survivors of violence.
